B.B. Memorial Jr. College was established with an aim to impart the best of education, the motto being “ to love to learn always and everywhere, so that all circumstances, all happenings in life may be constantly renewed opportunities for learning more and always more” This yearn for learning is symbolized in the college emblem, the book and the burning candle embossed in the centre of the emblem epitomizes the power of learning and the light of knowledge. Keeping this in mind it is hoped that the students of B.B. memorial Jr. College will unfailingly toil towards attaining knowledge, let this knowledge ennoble your life’s and all those around you, making you responsible citizen of this country.

 

PROFILE

B.B Memorial Junior College, named after visionaries Lt. Babjan Hazarika and Lt. Bilkesh Begum Hazarika was established in 2004 to cater to the needs of the society in general and students in particular, desiring to take up Commerce and Arts as their stream of education. It is a co-educational institution situated in Tinsukia, in the heart of the town. Governed by a society run under an able administrator and educationist, it has strived, since its inception to give the best in terms of education and overall development, ensuring that the students who are nurtured under its fold are prepared both academically and socially for the greater challenges of life. The institution believes in education that reflects not only on the academic credentials of a student but also in his or her general outlook, awareness and perception. From the time that the first batch of students successfully completed their Higher Secondary Education under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, the result has been outstanding and this has been possible due to the dedicated services of teachers and the able guidance of the Principal. Keeping in mind the demand of the times the institution provides outdoor experiences and practical knowledge of the subjects through various in house and hands on practical experiences, such as visit to banks etc. Emphasis on life skills is also given so that a student is able to cope with the stress and strain associated with adolescence and teenage.
